RESEARCH & DATA ASSOCIATE

Position Summary

The Research & Data Associate is a disciplined learner, responsible for conducting, curating, and presenting social science research and data to develop, support, and narrate strategies for our clients.

Typical projects involve synthesizing published scientific and policy research and acquiring and analyzing raw socioeconomic data (such as Census data) to inform creative problem solving, messaging, and client strategies. The RDA should be able to develop basic, but smart, slide decks and analyze data in spreadsheets. The Associate will work within the larger Research and Data team to communicate ideas and findings through presentations, data visualizations, and technical writing. Based on the RDA’s skills and interests, they will be expected to learn a range of research skills and software tools. This position can advance either into a higher-level Research and Data Consultant, or as a broader Strategy Consultant.  

  • Entry-level; 0-3 years experience
  • Related education and experience includes but is not limited to public health, economics, public policy / political science, research methods
  • No formal data training is required, as it can be provided through the job, but applicant must be curious and eager to learn  

Status: FTE, reporting to Director of Research & Data

Location: FTE in Greenville, SC

Salary Range: $40,000-$60,000  

Timing: Hire in Q2 2023
