CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Position Summary

The Content & Communications Manager is responsible for producing and distributing smart, mission-aligned content and communications for Openfields and our clients. Initial content goals include curating, commissioning, editing, and writing blog posts, white-papers, interviews, and impact case studies. Initial communications goals include producing regular newsletters and managing a basic social media presence. In the near term, the CCM will be responsible for directly writing and posting content. Over time, the CCM is expected to build and manage an internal team and a network of professional contractors.

+ 10+ years experience (Related experience might include journalism, publishing, marketing, advertising, philanthropy, communications)

+ Strong writer and editor

+ Ability to manage creative teams – writers, designers, video producers, data visualists

+ Project management

Status: FTE, reporting to the CEO/COO
Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000
Preferred Location: Greenville, SC and/or within easy driving distance (Asheville, Charlotte)
Timing: Hire in Q2-Q3 2023
